Prerequistes – none

  • materials – collection of old clothing, fabric scraps.

Any will do but all are suitable. Can be stretch(faster and easier) or woven

and any weight up to denim.

Old scarves, old shirts, dresses, sheets …anything

  • Great fabric cutting scissors
  • Old fashioned hessian.

Hardware stores are the most likely to carry this, failing that Spotlight has hessian but whilst not as easy to work on is still OK

The finished product doesn’t show the hessian colour at all. Neutral is easier to work on.

Buy a piece that is a good two feet all round bigger than you need the finished object.

  • some images of design or ideas, they will need adjusting but design is part of the process.
  • Sketchbook and pencil.

Tip: good to start on small but useful thing, not sample, more rewarding and doable.

  • Rug proddie hook. (Jenni will order the hooks & collect money from the workshoppers on the day)

Everyone will need a hook and to bring extra money  to pay for it. If they/postage is less then change will be given. The price varies upon AU$ and availability.

Fees; $80 plus cost of the proddie hook (around $45)
